The Third Term begins on September 5th Tuesday, for all grades including the LKG & UKG 2023.

Once again the littlest amongst us take to the grounds to compete in a series of relays and races, being eagerly watched on by parents and well-wishers. The day will comprise of a welcome address, a drill display and a collection of Grade relays and individual races in which students from the Pre-school, Grades 1 and 2 will take part in. While we pray the weather holds, we also hope this day brings much enjoyment for all those involved. Let the games begin!

After the successes of last year’s Science Exhibition, we look forward to this year’s Exhibition with high expectations!. The Science Committee for 2017 will be working tirelessly to see that this year’s Exhibition goes as well. On this day, students in Grades 5 upwards will be given the chance to showcase their interest and understanding of scientific subjects, methods and or innovations to judges, with each team in a Grade vying for a prize as the most creative, well thought out and executed project. Parents and well wishers are cordially invited to come see these projects after 12:30 p.m.
Language day is packed full of different events and competitions, the following will all be happening on the 2nd of August –
- Poetry Competition (Grades 1 – 2)
- Spelling Bee (Grades 3 – 5)
- Sinhala/Tamil Speech and Inter-House Debate Competition (Grades 6 upwards)
As Logos College celebrates our 10 year anniversary, we wish to invite all parents and well wishers alike to join us at our Thanksgiving Service, to celebrate God’s grace and faithfulness to the school.
After this Thanksgiving Service, our bi-annual Prize Distribution will also be conducted.
Please ensure that you are in your seats by 4:30 p.m.

History Day at Logos, started last year with the inception of a History Society, will this year once again see students from Grades 6 – 8 take part in a History Exhibition. This year’s Exhibition will be organised by the President and Committee of the History Society and will involve student groups showcasing various historical events, persons and places to a group of judges. The most descriptive and creative display will earn a prize. Last year saw numerous creative displays of historical significance from Ancient Greece to Leonardo da Vinci.

The Christmas Bazaar will be held on the 6th of December at school from 9 a.m. onwards. Many stalls and student run activities have been organized for your entertainment and enjoyment! Always a highly anticipated event at the end of the school year, we hope this Christmas Bazaar will be as well enjoyed as all the others! All proceeds will be donated to charities.

Friday, December 8 – School will close at 12.30 pm
Swimming will be had for Grades 4 and 5
Students will be taken for Badminton classes at 12.30. Please pick them up by 3.00 pm from the courts.
Students will collect the Report, Book list and Payment voucher for the First term 2018 from the school office on the last day. There is no change in the Fee structure. Please pay your fees before the beginning of the First term.
We hope your children have enjoyed the school year. School will reopen on Monday, January 08, 2018 at 8 am.

Only students who have received a notice from their relevant house captain will be taken to the grounds by bus after school and will be brought back to school by 4.30 p.m. Please pick up your child from school by 4.30 p.m. Students who have not received a notice need not come for this practice.
Next week onwards we will have sports practices every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at the Sports Ministry Grounds. Please send a change of clothing and extra food and water.
